Stove top Muesli

Stove top Muesli

Things you need,
1.your choice of flakes like rice flakes, corn flakes, oat flakes.
2.honey
3.cooking oil (preferably olive oil though not necessary)
4.your choice of dry fruits

So lets get started. First we are going to fry the flakes in medium heat until they are crisp in order to remove all the water content and this will make the muesli last longer.do not mix your flakes as different flakes need different time frame to be crispy. you may end up with not so great muesli if you mix them all and then try to fry them. For frying use only 2 teaspoons of oil say per 250 grams of flakes. Set aside for for cooling. Likewise fry all the kinds of flakes and let them cool off completely. when they flakes are cooled off mix them all together on a pan and set aside.

For the next step, take 2 teaspoons of oil in a bowl and heat it in a microwave or on stove top. Add honey to it as per required sweetness. It's really a trial and error method but if you feel it is not sweet enough you can always add some more while consuming muesli. After you add honey to the hot oil the honey also becomes thin due to heat. Pour this mixture over the flakes and mix it well. Let the flakes dry in open air with only a paper covering them.

When the flakes are dry to touch our muesli is almost ready. Depending upon how much muesli you are making, the time to dry the flakes may vary. Just add your dry fruits and mix well, now our muesli is ready.
Enjoy the delicious breakfast or a snack on the go.

P.S. - Store the muesli in an airtight container, this will keep it fresh for longer time.
