Fried Green Beans

This is another of my favorite recipes. This is a versatile dish that can be eaten as a snack or a side dish complementing your meat. No matter however you chose to have it I am sure you will not be disappointed by it. Like the previous recipe this too is a quick and simple one that Just needs 10 minutes to prepare.

Required ingredients,
fresh green beans
olive oil
garlic cloves
green chili
lemon juice

how to make: Wash your beans and trim the ends. Boil them with a pinch of salt for 5 mins but be careful not to overcook them.

In a hot pan put some olive oil about 2 teaspoons. Put in your chopped garlic cloves, beans and chili and fry them on medium heat. Keep checking the beans every few minutes for required softness and flavor. Turn off the heat. Use about half a teaspoon of lemon juice and salt to dress the beans. Optionally you can sprinkle some sesame seeds on top for garnishing. Your delicious fried beans are done.

You can also use mayo to add to the flavor but I usually resist temptation of extra calories. :) Serve when still hot, bon appetit.

Note: I made the beans along with scrambled eggs with a hint of herbs and salt. This team up of fried beans and scrambled eggs made a delicious duo. Everyone in my family really enjoyed it, specially my sister. I hope I can share this recipe with as many people as possible and see them enjoy it.

  1. Heard this recipe for the first time, but I don't like too much spicy recipe ( don't like chili). But once I will surely taste it :) Looks like fried chilies :P

    1. I recommend you try it once, I'm sure will like it. If you don't like spicy or hot you can reduce the amount of green chilies according to your liking. Let me know how it turns out. :)
